Before we explore the topic of money and greed, let’s firstly define what money is – before you say it’s a token used to complete a transaction for good or services, or anything along those lines, let us stop you! Money is simply ENERGY!

So is money good or is it bad? Well if it’s just energy, like everything else in this world, the title given to it is dependent on you. It’s just simply energy; the way we interpret money defines whether we attract positive situations, or negative situations regarding money.

There are many that say that money is the root of all evil, yet still pray for it because they claim that they need it or that they want it. That’s like going to McDonald’s, making an order and then walking out before they’ve even given it to you. How can the Universe deliver a request you’ve already cancelled out? Money flows to those who believe that they deserve it and can attain it. Let us ask you right now… What are your views on money? Do you believe that you deserve to be rich? Your subconscious thoughts and feelings on money will reveal a lot about your current reality and the one you will experience.

But isn’t wanting money greedy? Most of us want money so that we can experience financial freedom and live our most desired lifestyles without any restrictions. This might include, wanting to go on holiday whenever you want, with your loved ones and also not having to worry about how much you spend whilst you’re away. If you perceive this as greed because others will never get to live that lifestyle, you’re assuming that a) supply is limited and b) others will never break away from their current lifestyles to experience the same level of freedom. See, greed works on the basis that there is limited supply, and that you want the majority which will consequently be at the expense of another person’s well-being. We are led to believe that there’s limited supply, yet the truth is, infinite abundance exists and is provided by the Source. You can therefore only be greedy if you do not want others to experience financial abundance in their lives too. Also, we already know that the Law of Attraction and even metaphysics state that WE create the reality we want; therefore there are no limitations for anyone, apart from those that they accept. Our lives are just a manifestation of our beliefs. Money is only limited because we accept that supply is limited.

If money was the route of all people then it could possibly be the root of all evil. This would be because the only intention would be to get money, because our  perception would be that it’s the only goal in life. Therefore it could lead to foul behaviour as we all strive to fulfil our motive for money. But as we have discussed in previous posts, life is all about purpose, and without giving, you really won’t experience living. Let’s just casually remind you that you are not put on this Earth to just buy things and pay bills. You are here because you are beautifully unique and offer this world something positive, something no other mind can deliver. Money is readily available to everyone and the distance between you and money is determined by your attitude. However, money is not what gives our life purpose.

“Money is neither my god nor my devil. It is a form of energy that tends to make us more of who we already are, whether it’s greedy or loving.” – Dan Millman
