“Welcome to your very own private paradise. 125 acres of natural beauty in the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do!” – Sir Richard Branson

Moskito Island is located in the stunning British Virgin Islands. It’s a private island available to hire on an exclusive basis for up to 22 guests. The spectacular resort consists of five three-bedroom villas; one of them is occupied by Sir Richard Branson, the rest are occupied by other billionaires.

Moskito Island was inspired by Necker Island, which is only a short trip away. The island has everything you would expect from a luxury island getaway and if there is anything that is missing, all you need to do is ask! The island has a recreation area, beach house, pool, tennis courts, gym, watersports centre and much more to keep you amused whilst staying on the island.

There are three different villas which can be hired when staying on Moskito island: headland house, beach villa and mangrove villa. The mangrove and beach villas have four bedrooms each, whilst headland house has only three bedrooms. Each room can occupy up to two people.

Headland house is located on the northeast point of the island. The villa has three bedrooms along with a living area on the ground floor. The stand out feature of headland house is the wrap around infinity pool. It wraps around almost the entire villa including the master bedroom, meaning that you can step out of bed and straight into the pool.

The beach villa was inspired by Holly, Mr Branson’s daughter. The villa is located just above the beach and comes with unobstructed sea views. The beach villa has a number of features such as a fully equipped kitchen, a dining table which can be set up in front of the infinity pool for lunch or dinner on the deck, a lounge area with TV and a fully wired up house with speakers so you can listen to your own music whilst relaxing.

There are a range of things to do on the island for people of all ages. The island has two tennis courts, hiking trails, mountain biking, water sports, spa and much more. All of this luxury does not come cheap. For arrivals in 2016, the whole estate can be booked at $2,150 per person, per night. These rates include all food and drink (including alcohol), transfers, a DJ to play on one night of your stay and much more. To see the full list of what is included in your rates click HERE.
