There are a number of grounding techniques that can be used when we feel distressed, disconnected and lost. A lot of experiences related to anxiety can make us feel like we’re in a different situation to where we actually are.

Therefore, grounding techniques help us connect back to the present, with an awareness of our own bodies. By being in the present moment, we avoid our imagination; traumas of the past or current worries about the future.

I have a mindfulness grounding technique that has helped many people reduce their anxiety. Regular practice of this exercise has proven to be significantly beneficial.

However, please note that this is one technique out of many and it may not be for everyone. But if you want to try it out on your anxiety, feel free to give it a go:

I hope that at least one of my followers finds this grounding technique helpful. If you know anyone else who might find this useful, please share this post with them. After all, sharing is caring!
