If money didn’t exist, would you still chase your dreams? This simple question has so much depth to it. Before anyone says it, we know… If money didn’t exist, we’d be using something else as a medium of exchange. However, this is not the point of the question. It focuses on your intention; humans have needs, with or without the existence of money.

The question encourages self-realisation and unveils a lot about your current direction in life. So many of us, especially those who weren’t necessarily born into well-off families, feel that our lives are all about survival and making ends meet; we’re born just to make money. Whatever your beliefs are, do you really believe that we’re put on this Earth just to make money, without any purpose? The truth is that you should stick to your vision, whatever it may be. Most settle for temporary comforts because they lack confidence to pursue their long-term goals. They fear struggle and everything else – belief empowers this to be a truth. You also get some people, who think that they are going after their dreams, but their dreams are worth nothing more than money; in this case their dreams are just a job. People such as Steve Jobs and Richard Branson, both had a vision to change the world. Although they may have had monetary aims, it was their passion and faith that led them to great success. The reason why so many visionaries leave a legacy behind, as well as living abundantly, is because of their burning desire and passion for their vision. Money will always come as a result of this, if you believe you deserve it. The only real resources you need are your mind and heart, as everything around us is a result of this. You don’t take money with you when you die, but, if you’ve done great things for the world, you’ll leave a legacy behind.

Please watch the video above (edited by Carlos Rincon) with narration from Alan Watts; it’s very insightful and powerful. Do what you love and love what you do, surrender your worries to the Universe and just have faith in yourself, to create the life you desire.
