As technology improves in the world and the wealthy become wealthier, the standard and number of luxury properties across the world also rises. Billionaires all want to be at the top of the pile when it comes to owning the best property in the world; there are no limits when it comes to what is possible.

1. Antilla, Mumbai

Antilla is the world’s first Billion (with a B) Dollar home. It took four years to complete and is 550 feet high, with 400,000 square feet of interior space. The property is 27 floors high with six floors of car parks, three helipads, a state of the art theatre, ballroom and much more. The property is owned by Mukesh Ambani aged 50; the fifth richest man in the world with a net worth of $43 Billion. It has been reported that Antilla requires 600 staff to keep it running.

2. The Manor, Los Angeles

This $150 million home also known as the Spelling Manor is the largest home in Los Angeles. It was purchased by Bernie Ecclestone for his daughter Petra. The mansion has 123 rooms and 56,000 square feet of space. It features two swimming pools, a beauty salon, parking for 100 cars, a bowling alley and much more. The mansion has seven bedrooms in total with one of the rooms being named the Prince Charles Suite, having had a visit from the Prince of Wales himself.

3. One Hyde Park, London

This London penthouse in the Knightsbridge area is the most expensive in the world, having been sold for between £160-175 million. The penthouse has an area of 16,000 square feet. The five bedroom apartments are not like your average apartments, as you will be able to see from the video below. High end shops such as Harrods and Harvey Nichols are on the doorstep of the luxurious apartments, just in case you feel like going for a quick shop!

4. The Sanctuary, Parrot Cay

The Sanctuary is located in Parrot Cay; one of the most exclusive islands in the Caribbean. This property is the private island getaway for the fashion designer Donna Karan and is currently on the market for $39,000,000. It features 8 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a private beach and spectacular ocean views, the decor and amenities that come with this property are truly breathtaking!

5. Fairfield Pond, New York

Fairfield Pond is located in Sagaponack, New York and is the home of billionaire Ira Rennert. The property is over 110,000 square feet with 29 bedrooms, 39 bathrooms, a 91 foot formal dining room, $150,000 jacuzzi and a bowling alley. For those who are sports fanatics, the property also has its own basketball court, two squash courts and two tennis courts. Fairfield Pond is said to be worth around $250 million, making it one of the most expensive homes in the world.
